Careers and Placement

Dining Room

The Hospitality Management program combines a unique mix of practical experience and classroom activities - an excellent preparation for real-world employment.

Our hotel students assume positions of managerial responsibility in campus food service facilities, plan and execute gourmet dinners, engage in consulting projects for major industry firms, and complete a required summer of related work experience. Seminars with the participation of industry representatives and field trips are also integral to the program.

Industry management, our graduates' supervisors, and recruiters all attest to our students' preparedness. Our practical, effective curriculum enables our students to obtain managerial-level positions upon graduation and progress rapidly in the hospitality industry. Consider our alumni successes.

Graduates of Hospitality Management at UNH are prepared to assume management positions in all parts of the service sector, with primary emphasis on the hospitality industry. Graduates have accepted positions in lodging and food service (and their allied businesses and wholesalers), retirement facilities, software companies, tourism, travel and recreation industries, and institutions such as hospitals, nursing homes, colleges, and schools.

Students' resumes are kept on file at University Career Services.
