Master of Science in Management of Technology (MS-MOT) Degree
An Innovation in Education where Business meets Technology
The MS-MOT is a specialized Master degree in business aimed at engineers, scientists, researchers, and other technical professionals. The degree was designed to provide students from technical backgrounds with the knowledge and skills to manage the interfaces between technology, strategy and business processes, and the development and commercialization of emerging technologies.
The Whittemore Graduate School’s MS-MOT was the first program of its kind—one of only three in the world—to be accredited by the International Association for the Management of Technology (IAMOT) in 2010 .
Our Management of Technology graduates are equipped with a unique set of skills that can help any technology-intensive business succeed. They are critical thinkers who are trained to use creative strategies and appropriate technologies in solving problems. They are innovative team leaders who are skilled at communicating technical information.
After a decade of developing the next generation of technology leaders in the U.S. and South Korea, in 2012 the Whittemore Graduate School decided to merge the MS-MOT program with its master of business administration (MBA) program to meet the changing demands of the business marketplace. The unique educational experiences at the heart of the MS-MOT continues to be available as a specialization for MBA students through a series of elective courses.
