The Masters in Accounting is a full-time day program for students that possess an undergraduate degree in accounting or appropriate prerequiste coursework (see below). Per faculty advisor's permission students can pursue the degree part-time, however most classes are offered during the day.

For Students with non-accounting business degrees
Prerequisites that must be completed at the undergraduate level are:
Students who do not possess an undergraduate degree in business must also complete:
- ADMN 403 Computing Essentials
- ADMN 420 Business Statistics
- ADMN 502 Financial Accounting
- ADMN 503 Managerial Accounting
- ADMN 570 Financial Management
- ECON 401 Macro Economics
In addition, choose two of the following three: Behavior in Organizations (ADMN 575), Marketing (ADMN 585), or Quantitative Decision Making (ADMN 580).
Prerequisites of the above non-accounting courses:
- For 420: MATH 420 or 424A or 425, ADMN 403 (Computing Essentials)
- For 570: ECON 401 (Macro Economics) and Co-requisites: ADMN 420, ADMN 502 and ECON 402
- For 575: ADMN 403 (Computing Essentials) and ADMN 502 (Financial Accounting)
- For 580: ADMN 420 (Business Statistics) and ADMN 503 (Managerial Accounting)
- For 585: ECON 401(Macro Economics)
