MBA classes are over!

My two MBA classes ended just before spring break.   The 10 week class schedule is wonderful.  What did I learn??  Well, as I have whined about before, I was stymied by the statistics involved in the Investment Analysis class.  What I did learn is that I can muscle through ANYTHING.  I worked hard and felt at times that I just didn't get it. Now that I am on the other side of the class I feel a great satisfaction at having seen it through.

From my Entrepreneurship class my greatest success was that I finally conquered a discomfort with presentations.  I have always hated them and never felt I did them well.  We had to present a section of the business plan every week, so by the end of the term I was really familiar with the material.  It sounds silly, because everyone (but me apparently) already knew the key to a good presentation was in telling a story.  I finally understand that now and I am a much better presenter for having taken this class which was WAY, WAY outside my comfort zone.

Now I am down to three classes and one of them does not meet for the next month because we are doing community outreach working for a non-profit organization.  I really feel at loose ends...I spent all weekend doing NOTHING which was not very productive.  Within a week I should have the CPA study materials from my future employer and can begin that.   It will be good to have more to do!
