Message from the Department Chair

As the Chair of the Economics Department, it is my distinct pleasure to welcome you to our department.  As you explore these web pages you'll find useful information about our faculty, research, events, degree programs and course offerings.

While our webpages are informative, there are some additional pieces of information that I would like to share with you.  For example, the economcis major is the only major that guarantees to extend your life by ten years.  Yes, it's true.¹   Moreover, it took an economics major to write the world's best rock song.  Who else could write, "I can't get no satisfaction?"  An English major; I don't think so.  But an extended life and great material for song lyrics are just two of the many advantages awaiting you as an economics major.  As you explore our webpages, I hope that you will find the information you need.  If not, please feel free to write to me at bte [at] cisunix [dot] unh [dot] edu anytime.
