Dates of WSBE Academic Advising for Study Abroad
It is recommended that students interested in studying abroad in Fall Semester 2008 schedule your appointment with a WSBE Academic Advisor as soon as possible.
Dates WSBE Undergraduate Programs has reserved specifically for WSBE study abroad advising:
Please note these are NOT walk-in situations and students must schedule an appointment to meet with a WSBE Advisor regarding study abroad. Students can stop into McConnell 120 anytime to schedule an appointment or may call 862-3885.
The specific dates above have been reserved to assist WSBE students with the study abroad process. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have scheduled your appointments in time to complete everything needed to meet CIE’s deadlines.
WSBE Academic Advisors are happy to work with you and help you with your planning for study abroad, as studying abroad is a great opportunity. However, you are expected to do your part and be responsible for the information in the study abroad handouts you receive from CIE by neatly and completely filling out necessary paperwork and by coming PREPARED to an appointment having READ ALL STUDY ABROAD MATERIALS prior.
Bring all the study abroad materials to each appointment, such as the abroad program information, booklets, syllabi, course descriptions and forms. Also, you should utilize WEBCAT ahead of time to review your academic transcript, the general education list and the writing intensive list—all available on line.
If a student arrives for an appointment and is not appropriately prepared, he or she will be required to schedule another appointment for one of the other WSBE study abroad dates.
