Sylvia H. Marple has been professionally engaged in nutrition and foodservice education at the University of New Hampshire for a number of years. She has taught in the Department of Human Nutrition, served as the state Nutrition Specialist, with tenure, for the University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension Service, coordinated and developed education projects and programs for the Nutrition Education and Training Program in the NH State Department of Education, and is currently Affiliate Assistant Professor in the Hospitality Management Department in the University's Whittemore School of Business and Economics. She has also provided training programs and developed teaching and training materials for a number of groups and organizations. Sylvia is a Granite State Ambassador, and serves as a Visitor's Assistant with the Greater Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce during the summer season. Her professional memberships include the Council on Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Education and the American Dietetic Association as a registered dietitian. Additionally, she is designated as a Fellow in the American Dietetic Association.
